Creston Valley Wildlife Centre + My Favorites
This impressive 17,000 acre wildlife habitat is home to 265 species of birds and many other types of wildlife. It is accessible 24 hours a day all year long. There are opportunities for birdwatching, wildlife viewing, hiking, biking, canoeing and fishing. Their is also an Interpretive Centre (open end of April to Thanksgiving) that offers a good selection of wildlife activities and informative programs that cater to all ages. Kianuko Provincial Park + My Favorites
This 11638 ha park, which is used by the Ktunaxa-kinbasket First Nation for spiritual and traditional purposes, protects alpine lakes and meadows as well as the headwaters of Kianuko Creek. Home to caribou, moose and grizzlies, the park is popular for fishing, hiking and horseback riding. Address: 40 km (25 mi) north of Creston | Creston, BC
